My dear patients and parents

 I want to wish you a happy and successful 2023, and to thank you for all your support during all these years working together in the care of our community.

I want to share these changes that will benefit our community of pediatric patients.

During the last 36-month pediatric gastroenterology clinic of south Texas went to extraordinary transformation to improve the care and services for your patients

One extraordinary expansion was improving our radiology department and we provide contrast and radiology service for our patient within same initial evaluation maximizing our capacity of diagnosis.  

Other extraordinary growth with in pediatric in-house pathology lab department where we focus only in pediatric pathological staining and diagnosis, increasing the accuracy of diagnosis in Inflammatory bowel pathology, celiac disease, eosinophilic enteritis, and h pylori. We increase the finding on diagnosis h pylori in 70% better than standards hospital pathology lab. Our biopsy is taking with standard biopsy to increase proper diagnosis with enough tissue sample and avoid false negative biopsy results. Same results for eosinophilic esophagitis vs reflux esophagitis. We are getting double sampling in esophagus to avoid confusion between reflux and eosinophilic esophagitis with tremendous success, we maintain extremely close contact with advance inflammatory bowel disease center in Houston Texas to provide excellent care in our more complete IBD patients fast growing in our community during past few decades.

Other additional services we expand was with ph probe testing. We have two state of art testing machines where we could run pH probe testing few per day with maximizing faster diagnosis. We use a state of art software of acid analysis and electrical impedance to improve nonacidic vs acid reflux and improve diagnosis of reflux versus eosinophilic esophagitis with tremendous success.

We have latest technology on state of art new ultrasound department with excellent technician.  Just to mention in 2022 we diagnosed 4 newborns with gallstones who were to surgery and gallbladder perfectly removed without complications due to fast and early diagnosis of this extremely rare pathologies.

The latest expansion we are going through in 2023 is our education webinars weekly to maximize patient education and disease prevention on gastroenterology disorders, this new department is focusing on reducing infant reflux complications and creating and national campaign in sudden infant death prevention and acute life-threatening event prevention and hospitalization prevention. 

We are looking forward improve all our internal departments, national and international education department, our goal is beginning additional education in Spanish language to improve not only national but also internationally.

I personal review and create all department reports to assure accuracy in our reports and diagnosis and to prevent doubts because I personally know what I ordered and what I am looking in every test we do.
